Mushers may now register for the first K300 Race Committee event of winter, the Season Opener. The race is currently scheduled for this Saturday, December 3rd. However, the Race Committee is keeping a close eye on trail conditions and the safety of travel between Bethel and nearby villages. If conditions do not improve in the next few days the race will be postponed. An announcement will be made no later than Thursday, December 1st. We urge mushers to report any concerns to the Race Committee, particularly with regard to travel. Text 545-3300 or email k300@k300.org.
The current plan is for the race to follow the Atmautluak trail from Bethel for a 32 mile out and back route. More details will follow once plans are finalized and the trail is marked.
