Jackie Larson claims victory in the 2021 Akiak Dash

2 time Bogus Creek 150 Champion Jackie Larson, of Napaskiak, won his first Akiak Dash tonight, finishing only 6 minutes ahead of Matt Scott, of Bethel. It was an exciting race and a beautiful day on the Kuskokwim. There is still one team out on the trail but these are the current official results.
Congratulations to Jackie Larson on earning a first Akiak Dash victory after already building an impressive record in other competitions. A six-minute lead sounds like it made for an intense finish, and I can imagine the excitement along the Kuskokwim on such a beautiful day.
