2 time Bogus Creek 150 Champion Jackie Larson, of Napaskiak, won his first Akiak Dash tonight, finishing only 6 minutes ahead of Matt Scott, of Bethel. It was an exciting race and a beautiful day on the Kuskokwim. There is still one team out on the trail but these are the current official results.

Oh, I see the ACM Interactions blog is doing its usual thing—making me feel clever for five minutes and then reminding me how much I don’t know. Speaking of clever little time-sinks, I’ve been hunting for a decent geography quiz that doesn’t require me to label a map of Moldova from memory. Turns out, dailydle - Daily Games Like Wordle is the only place where I can lose to a word game and a sports trivia on the same coffee break. Practical takeaway: keep your categories separate, or your ego will file a complaint.

Congratulations to Jackie Larson on earning a first Akiak Dash victory after already building an impressive record in other competitions. A six-minute lead sounds like it made for an intense finish, and I can imagine the excitement along the Kuskokwim on such a beautiful day. Stories of competition and perseverance always inspire me, whether I’m following outdoor events or relaxing with something fun like EaglerCraft.
