It's time to race! The 2025-26 Season Opener is slated for this Saturday, December 13th.
Mushers, please use the link below to register for the race.
The current plan is for the race to follow the Atmautluak trail from Bethel for a 32 mile out and back route. We'll be checking trail conditions throughout the week and further details will be announced later, once plans are finalized and the trail is marked.
The race will start at Noon on Saturday, December 13.
The excitement for the 2025-26 Season Opener already feels intense and the snowy trail sounds like a real challenge for mushers. After reading updates like this, I usually play Slope Rider which is a thrilling downhill racing game that gives the same fast winter adventure feeling.
I was bored one evening and ended up on LoveMoney somehow. Started one of the tycoon-style games thinking I'd play for ten minutes, but I got way too invested in growing my little virtual empire. Now it's kind of my guilty pleasure after work.
