2026 Campout Race and Delta Championship Series Results

It was a beautiful weekend for mushing as the 2025-26 K300 Race Committee season came to a close with the Campout Race. 8 teams traveled from Bethel to the camp location on the Gweek River, about 42 miles from Bethel, on Saturday. But it was on Sunday morning that the race began with a single-file mass start. Teams returned to the finish in Bethel following the same trail.

Mike Williams Jr. completed a dominant season of racing with another victory, besting Michael Larson (2nd) and Maurice Andrews (3rd). The win sealed the Delta Championship Series (our season-long competition) for Williams, for which he is awarded a $5,000 credit with our sponsor Underdog Feeds, a $1,000 credit with sponsor Northern Air Cargo as well as a brand new iPhone donated by sponsor GCI. Larson, competing for the Alexie Racing Kennel, took 2nd place in the DCS, winning a $500 NAC credit, followed by Lewis Pavila (Bad River Kennel) who takes home a $250 NAC credit.

Congrats to Mike Williams Jr. on a dominant season — that single-file mass start on the Gweek must have been chaos in the best way, especially with 42 miles of trail ahead. I love that the DCS rewards consistency across the whole winter rather than just one big race. Speaking of voice and timing, this reminds me of the choicer voicer, a browser game where you score points by mimicking audio clips with your own voice. It's a fun way to test how well you can match tone and delivery, kind of like reading the trail and matching your dogs' rhythm.

Congrats to Mike Williams Jr. on closing out a dominant season—that single-file mass start on the Gweek must have made for some tight trail strategy early on. I’ve been following the full series results over at https://facefusion.pro
