Register now for the 2025 Akiak Dash
The 2025 Akiak Dash will begin with a mass start on the Kuskokwim River on Saturday, February 8th at 12:00 PM. Registration is required and must be submitted by Noon on Thursday, February 6th. Mushers must attend the pre-race meeting on Thursday, February 6th at 4:00 PM at K300 Race Headquarters (The Longhouse Hotel Conference Room)
All mushers must begin the race with no more than 8 dogs and no less than 5 dogs. Like last year, there will be no layover and therefore, no dropped dogs are permitted. All racers must carry a sleeping bag and an axe for the duration of the race and begin the race with four booties for every dog. Trail details will be announced at the musher meeting on Thursday.
