Mushers are en route to Aniak! Nine K300 mushers have left Kalskag within 20 minutes of each other. Travis Beals left first at 7:18 a.m. with 11 dogs. Close on his heels (or paws?): Tony Browning, Richie Diehl, Joar Leifseth Ulsom, Will Rhodes, Aaron Burmeister, Pete Kaiser, last year's K300 champion Matthew Failor and Aaron Peck. All of these mushers got 3 hours of rest. Interesting fact: Jeff King left at 8:18 a.m., but he has had four hours of rest. Fast race and close pack!
