Isaac Underwood wins February 50

Isaac Underwood claimed victory for the first time in his career of competing in K300 races, besting a field of 17 teams on a trail that was soft with fresh, deep snow. In a close second place was a newcomer to K300 races, Robert Charles, Jr. This was only Charles' second race, mushing dogs from John Snyder's kennel in Akiachak. In third was Jim George, of Kwethluk, followed by Jackie Larson, of Napaskiak in fourth. 17 year old Raymond Alexie rounded out the top five with a strong fifth place finish. Full results below.

Next up, The 100 Mile Challenge on Saturday, March 13, with a 9am start. We plan to close out the season with another 50 miler on Saturday, March 20th. In order to avoid a gathering and the possible risk of spreading Covid-19, there will be no Campout Race this year.

Immaculate Grid is a simple yet addictive online puzzle that has grown into a popular daily pastime for pop-culture fans. At its core the game asks players to identify a single person (usually a celebrity, athlete, or historical figure) and place them correctly in a 4×4 grid by using a series of photo clues. Each column and row is associated with a different theme (e.g., “Oscar winners,” “British actors,” “Born in the 1980s”), and the solver must deduce which subject fits each intersection. Below is a concise overview of what the game is, why it resonates, how to play well, and the debates it provokes.

I can only imagine how challenging it must be to navigate deep, soft snow while maintaining speed and control. It kind of reminds me of how I feel playing Slope Rider, where I have to constantly adjust and stay focused to avoid wiping out. I also appreciate how the organizers are adapting the season for safety while still keeping the spirit of competition alive. It makes me even more impressed by everyone involved and the dedication they bring to the sport.
