On Saturday 12/24 we announced that we were postponing the Holiday Classic until Saturday, December 31st. We later learned that the Village of Akiak is hosting a race the same weekend, the three day Frank Nurraq Kawagley Dog Race.
We really try to avoid such conflicts so that mushers get as many chances to race as possible and so that they aren't forced to choose between events. As such, we have decided to postpone our race until the following weekend, Saturday, January 7th.
Mushers who have already registered do not need to do so again. Registration remains open until Thursday, January 5th.
After the Holiday Classic the next race will be the Bogus Creek 150, scheduled to start on Saturday, January 14th. Registration for the 150 will open in the next few days.
