Register now for the 2024 Akiak Dash
The 2024 Akiak Dash will begin with a mass start on the Kuskokwim River on Saturday, January 27th at 12:00 PM. Registration is required and must be submitted by Wednesday, January 24th. Mushers must attend the pre-race meeting on Thursday, January 25th at 4:00 PM at K300 Race Headquarters (The Longhouse Hotel Conference Room)
All mushers must begin the race with no more than 8 dogs and no less than 5 dogs. Like last year, there will be no layover and therefore, no dropped dogs are permitted. All racers must carry a sleeping bag and an axe for the duration of the race and begin the race with four booties for every dog. Complete Race Rules and Purse Breakdown here.
