About Us

The Kuskokwim 300 is the world’s premier middle middle-distance sled dog race in the world, spanning 300 miles of traditional trails along the Kuskokwim River, from Bethel, Alaska, to Aniak, Alaska, and back.

We host not only theIn addition to the Kuskokwim 300, but we also host the Bogus Creek 150, the Akiak Dash, as well as several other races between 30 and 100 miles, and the new Delta Championship Series.

The Kuskokwim 300 started in 1980, and the Race Committee's mission is to further interest in dog sled racing; to re-establish historic trails in the Lower Kuskokwim area of Alaska; and to establish and maintain an organization to foster these and other activities, including sled dog races for the recreation, instruction, and education of members and the general public.

We are proud to carry on the sled dog racing tradition within the Yukon- Kuskokwim Delta. The Committee hopes to continue fostering a strong dog mushing community in our region, involving mushers young and old, from novices to world world-class professionals.
