Race Committee President Myron Angstman released the following statement for website publication: The Kuskokwim 300 is back on track. Zach Fansler arrived August 24th after flying all night and spent all day digging through files and the computer to learn what he could about managing the race. A few more days of the same effort resulted in an assessment that there are problem areas, but nothing that appears to be insurmountable. The board members met this week and were presented with a summary of the problem areas, but the consensus was full speed ahead for the 2012 race Zach obviously understands the importance of his job. I think the community can expect good things from the race comittee.
One of the first items of business on the agenda was merchandise sales. Volunteers are needed for Saturday market sales. If interested, call Zach at 545-3300. The committee also is seeking a replacement for board member Crystal Mowbray. If you want to take part, please call.
